Blog
A corner for my thoughts, ideas, and other things I love.
After years of keeping this look, I've decided to go for a sleeker and more modern theme for this art blog of mine to provide a smoother browsing experience (I mean... people are only here to browse my sample art, right?) I'll still be using the same old rough "paper-ish" look I always tend to have both in my artwork and this site, though; it's just my "signature look" at this point. That being said, if ever I end up breaking something accidentally, I apologize for any inconveniences this might cause. As to when it will be done, I'm not sure (after some problems for the past few weeks, my main priority right now is my health.) More music, as usual! After months of digging for some new Korean songs to like (might just be me being older, but I can't get into most of these newer K-Pop acts), I found one that is just right up my alley. I've always been more into rock, and damn I can't remember the first song of theirs that I discovered (via Spotify as usual), but they sure blew me away! A band with four main vocals (each with their own unique and nice voices? Count me in!) Had to go through their entire discography right away. A few months later, here I am still completely hooked with their music. One of these guys even appeared in my dreams once— I think I might have a problem... I just can't get enough of their music! I'm personally hyped for their upcoming Japanese album, since I love their heavier tracks so much. Anyway, who are these guys I'm talking about? Check out their song that first made a "big fan": "I Wait" by DAY6, from their 2017 album "Sunrise." I do not own this video. All music videos posted here belong to their rightful owners.

After a long hiatus, the Elphoria Project is back and in the works once again! This time around, I decided to use a third-party website (I'll name it once I'm ready to post my link here) to host all ideas involving Elphoria. It mostly consists of worldbuilding / lore and character background stuff; I purposely try to keep the story/plot hidden as much as possible to avoid potential spoilers in the meantime. Why, you ask? I have plans to create comics soon! It's definitely not an easy task, especially for me. But this is something I always wanted to do, and I'll try my utmost best to get that first comic out. Even just a mini comic would do... Music time! I believe I never posted K-Pop of any kind here before— Yes, I listen to K-Pop too... I'm not familiar with all the K-Pop artists out there nowadays, but one group I still follow on the regular is Big Bang. Months ago I decided to listen to other artists, and this one in particular is one of the few that stuck with me. Seriously, I've been playing their stuff over and over FOR WEEKS. I pretty much just filled my Spotify library with their albums, haha! It felt like I was back in 2009 again, when I used to listen to a lot of K-Pop. Anyway here you go, "Coming Over" by EXO. from their 2018 album "Countdown." (R.I.P CCTVs) I do not own this video. All music videos posted here belong to their rightful owners. It's been a long time since I last shared music here, so here we go! I just checked all the "Elphoria" related stuff I've written here, and I must say a good chunk of it is terribly outdated. Yes, I am continuously working on this project, and I always have dreamed of sharing it (in it's finished state) to everyone in the future. I have learned a lot of things about writing this year, and all of the advice I've gathered so far has helped immensely in improving my stories. That being said, those pages might be taken down soon. A lot of stuff has really changed in this "second draft." Okay, now you're wondering: What the heck does all of this have to do with music? Not much, probably. I just wanted to share one song that fits the theme of (the rewritten) Elphoria: Return to Darkness. You know, my usual thing. "The Glory And The Scum" by Delain, from their 2016 album "Moonbathers." I do not own this video. All music videos posted here belong to their rightful owners. A step-by-step guide on how to make basic animations on Adobe Photoshop. The version used below is CS6 (This works for lower versions such as CS3 too.) To navigate through the pictures, just click on the first image (upper left) then press "left/right arrow keys" or "Enter/Backspace". I'll try to make the screenshots more readable soon. In the meantime, just "Right click + Open in New Tab" an image if you want to view the full sized image. 8/28/2017 0 Comments Mini Pixel Base (Free-to-use)Another free pixel base: This time they're smaller, cuter, and includes blinking and blushing animation frames! Unnecessary, but link backs are greatly appreciated as usual. Download links found below. (Two different skin tones are available.)
Just a little guide that I made for someone back then. I figured it would be nice to share to others how I work on one of my personal favorite art styles. Hope this helps and enjoy! Program used below is Adobe Photoshop CS6. This works for older versions such as CS3 as well. To navigate through the pictures, just click on the first image (upper left) then press "left/right arrow keys" or "Enter/Backspace". I'll try to make the screenshots more readable soon. In the meantime, just "Right click + Open in New Tab" an image if you want to view the full sized image. 4/5/2017 0 Comments Chibi Pixel Base (Free-to-use)Decided to share my love for pixel art with everyone else. This old pixel base I made years ago (and tweaked slightly) is now free for anyone to use! For practice, designing OCs, commissions/art shops, and more. Please take note that the files below are only static images and don't include animation frames. All you need to do is credit me properly or if possible, link back to the site or this post. I'd also love to see your finished creations, so feel free to send them my way! Download links can be found below. Link for the base pictured above:
